Power & Purpose
At Abundant Life, the heart of our community is in these two words. We believe that we have deep and real purpose in Christ to shine His light in the world around us and that we can only bring positive, eternal change in the power of God.
Our Church
When you attend Abundant Life, you'll find a church with a mission. We're committed to building a "culture of worship" that invites the presence of God and prepares an atmosphere for people who need to encounter God's love and power. We define ourselves as a praying, worshiping, growing, serving, giving church and seek to be alive and proactive in our spiritual growth and in reaching out to others. We are a multicultural family church with Pentecostal roots, and we are a part of the Church of God denomination based in Cleveland, TN. You can learn more below in a summary of our Biblical beliefs. Our Beliefs
The Bible | The Bible is inspired by God and has been delivered from God to us through men (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). |
God | God eternally exists in three Persons – Father, Son, and Spirit (1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, 2 Corinthians 13:14). |
Christ | Christ was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead and later ascended to heaven (Luke 23:33, 1 Corinthians 15:20, Acts 1:9-11). |
Sin | All have sinned and need God’s forgiveness through the blood of Christ (Romans 3:21-25, Romans 6:23). |
Baptism | We are to be baptized in water after faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:38). |
Holiness | We are to live holy lives by God's grace (2 Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:14). |
The Holy Spirit | The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers ((Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4, Luke 11:13). |
The Second Coming | Christ will come again to establish His kingdom on earth (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 16:27). |
The Judgment | There will be eternal life for the righteous and eternal death for the wicked (2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:11-21:4). |
