It is easy to trust God in the good times and when our prayers are answered in the way we want them to be, but what about the other times? The times when we just don’t see God in the situation or we haven’t gotten the answer we wanted? Those are the times to remind ourselves of the character of God. God is good and just. Everything He does is for a purpose. Romans 8:28 was one of the first scriptures I memorized and called on to help me through the times that I didn’t understand and I just had to trust God. He knows what he’s doing ALL the time.
Happy New Year!
The New Year is rapidly approaching. It is a time for reflection. A time when most people take a time to recognize some things in their life that need to change. This year as we make our New Years resolutions, I propose a challenge. Find someone to hold you accountable for your actions this year. As the body of Christ we are supposed to hold each other accountable to the word of God; however, most of the time, we choose people in our lives that will agree with us in our wrong-doing instead of challenging us to be better. Who holds you accountable in your life? Do you get offended when someone tries to hold you accountable? This year, allow the Lord to reveal the things in your life that need to change and allow the body of Christ to hold you accountable. Allow yourself to reflect on what others have to say and take into consideration whether or not you are lined up with His word.
